Currumbin Valley Australia

Okay everyone, this is not my art, but it is done by a member of my family, my aunt (mother's sister). Hazel is now 87 and does not paint, but I now have all her art. I am selling off a few of her pieces, however this is not one of them
I love this piece. The Currumbin Valley is not far from where she now lives in a low care facility in Queensland Australia.
She had a long and wonderful artistic career, I hope I can live up to her talents.

Rae's acrchives from Italy

This was a small showing of each of the artists' works the night before we left to come back to the US. The lighting was poor in the villa, so we sat at the fireplace in all our splendor. again, thanks to Carol for this shot.
I have to admit I did not do much painting over there, not by my usual standards, I hope to work a lot with the photos I have from this wonderful trip. 2000 in all !!
This grouping is a mixture of pastels on paper and acrylics on canvas.

Rae in Italy Painting

Okay, here I am painting, thankyou Carol for this photo.
I rarely have any photos of myself, always the photographer.
Don't ask me where this was, I know it's Italy, but I forget all the little towns we went to. they were all so wonderful.
This was late in the afternoon and the light was fading fast, so we all had to paint with great speed. Lots of onlookers came and watched, what a novelty, to have artists set up in their streets.. NOT!!!.

So sorry for my absence

Hi all, I have been traveling in Italy with a small group of fun artists, for three weeks. I am sorry I have not been back to post on my blog in a while, things just keep coming up.

I am doing a lot of teaching and demos of late as well, and will be out of the state next week for a few days in Louisiana teaching a workshop.

Try not to miss me huh?

In the meantime, I am posting a photo of me in Mexico when I had a show down there and was teaching a workshop. These little girls were fascinated with my drawing and 'helped' me a lot. Ha ha.
I promise to be back on board soon, meantime, paint, paint, paint!
