Cinque Terre Boats

Cinque Terre (meaning five lands) on the Southern coast of the Italian Riviera. It's a wonderful place, full of great subject matter for both the photographer and artist alike.
I had the happy occasion to stay in one of the towns of Cinque Terre (pronounced CHINKWA TERRA) in 2010.
These little boats are lined up in most of the harbors, so colorful and clean looking.

The price of this one is $50.00

Provence Perfection. SOLD!

This cute idyllic house was discovered one day I was driving some of our group around for some photos in Provence last May.

The colors and the wonderful little garden outside were just dying to be painted.

So here it is, a 10 x 10" oil. Makes me homesick..

My starting bid is $60.00

Forgotten Good Times

Forgotten Good Times is an oil on archival board.

I saw this wonderful old car just abandoned in the long grass on Maui many years ago, makes you wonder how anyone could neglect this old treasure.

It made a great subject though, hope you like.
You can bid on this one at:

Starting bid is $60.00

Rapid Falls... Another demo for an Austin Group

I am going to call this Rapid Falls ( who knows, there is sure to be a place somewhere named that) , although this demo for the most part it is made up.

I have had a slew of demos to do lately, this one was last week here in Austin for the Municipal Arts Guild.

Thanks ladies, it was great fun to see you all again.

I am not really finished this one, but sometimes that is better than finishing huh?Let's call it a vignette.

I rarely do finish my demos actually.

Hope you like it..

Today's demo for art group in Austin

Okay this is the quick demo I did today for an art group here in Austin, by no means finished, but a good start.

Thanks to you all for coming and a great lunch as well, it was fun!

Maybe one day I will finish this one and repost it.It really is in it's raw stages right now.

Might even place a part of another flower in the top left corner, hmmm?
This is a pastel on gray velour paper.

Me First !

I loved the way the light hit these geese. I used a composit of my own photos taken while I sat beside a lake in Australia.
They are so forceful, quite obnoxious actually. But mainly just curious I guess, wanting food from every person sitting and enjoying the scenery..

Again, the background gave me some pause for thought on this one, and there is more of it to deal with than my chickens.

Thanks Diane for purchasing the chickens, I hope you enjoy them in your new kitchen.

Me First is a 9 x 12" oil on archival board.

Morning Mist

This is another small oil.... 5 x 7"

I wanted to try and keep my colors very high key for the most part, not easy for me, I love the drama of 'punchy' colors.

I also wanted to keep to a limited palette.
The scene is a little made up, a little from a photo I had of a place in Australia, no idea where though.

I am really enjoying oils for a change, but I so want to get back to my large canvasses! Sigh!

My arm is great now, thanks to cortisone...do I dare to test the waters with a larger painting?

This little one is for sale . If you are interested contact me at:

The price is $60.00 plus tax
S/H within the US ..$12.00
