This is one of my favorite watercolors done on Maui. It is a large painting, & quite abstract for me at the time. A new area to explore.I used watercolor as a base & then used acrylic white ink over it, to diffuse & obscure areas.Iao Valley holds a very special place in heart, it is where I hiked & swam with my husband in our early courting years. I absolutely love the place & I think this painting shows how etherial & mystical it is.
