This painting was a studio painting, although I did do some plein air painting at the vineyards on this day also.I worked from a photo for these pickers however, the session at the vineyards was very hot, hence the studio painting later.
I wanted my viewer to feel the heat with this one, & I tinted the canvas first with a hot orange hue.
I actually like the result very much, how about you?
