I have never considered myself a floral artist, but it seems I might be one after all. I am placing this in my upcoming group show at Austin Artspace. It's an acrylic on canvas and I so love the energy and movement I am able to get with this medium.A little of my signature geometry is starting to creep into this one, and in others which followed. I used to do this a lot with paintings, balance geometry against a natural shape. It tends (for me) to focus the subject more.
This painting does not have much of that, however it's a beginning.
