Ethereal Fish 2

My apologies for my absense folks, I don't know where the time has gone, but I hope I can now make up for it with my latest paintings. This began as a demo for Waterloo Watercolor Society, and I spent another two hours on it in my studio after the event. I am getting ready for a show which will be at Northwest Hills Gallery here in Austin. This will a part of it. It's an acrylic on a 30 x 40" canvas.

This is just beautiful - the scales on the fish - the beautiful soft colours on the left - and the composition is just amazing the way it leads your eye around the painting.

This is gorgeous! Love the colors and the composition. Very dynamic, lots of movement. Nice flowing quality, I actually thought it was a watercolor at first glance!

Thanks everyone for your comments, I had so much fun with this latest painting and the others in this series, soon to be posted. I am filming them as I do them, the result of which will eventually be available as a DVD, step by step demo.
Thanks again for your encouraging comments.
