In the same vein as my last pastel post, I wanted to keep trying for a more abstract rendering of this landscape.
The idea of working side by side in panels helped me to eliminate unnecessary detail, especially on the second panel to the left.
I began with a rough drawing to guide me.
Starting form left to right you can follow the steps.
I always begin with the sky area, and as my panels progressed, I began using my stronger colors, for drama.
I find the high horizon point gives the necessary thrust to the drama as well.
