Passage of Time

I had the best title for this one while I was painting it, now it's completely gone from my head.Grrr!

The cactus was one I took photos of at a friend's ranch last year, the chasm is completely made up.I just love color and the high horizon theme, however it does make one think about resolving the lower two thirds of the painting ..

To assist my thinking, I took step by step photos of this while I painted it, maybe I will post them in time. It would certainly show you all what a metamophosis it went through.

I think it very healthy as artists to see our work change in the process, this one was compositionally just not working for me, and seeing it on my computer in the various stages, helped a bunch.

This is an acrylic on gallery wrap canvas and is for sale at $850.

Rae, this is gorgeous, so full of life and movement. No help with a name, sorry. It is just beautiful. I love cactus pears.
