Slipper Slope, the beginnings and the end
I am on the fence witht his one. It began as the other previous posts began, with liquid acrylics and finding the image in the paint.
I saw a flower at first and began to develop that as my subject (see top right) then after turning the paper and viewing what I had done, I began to see a distant ridge of trees appearing. (see bottom left)
Goes to show, we can always be told by our paintings, and not settle for the obvious.
I will have to think about this one though, what do you all think?
This is an 8" x 8" liquid acrylic with some watercolor on Arches paper.
Prints may also be purchased through Fine art America :

Just my first response without over thinking it......when I first saw it I thought:
Too busy - too dark I actually like #1 with the stems being the focal point and the flower at the edge. #2 is nice as well with lots of air and whites.
Yep, I agree, onwards and upwards, it's a dud.. Oh well.
Thanks though for the comments.. This one got away from me..
Thanks Janine.
