This watercolor on Arches paper was actually a demo I did for an art group a while ago. It was to show how color can command a subject.

As you all know by now, I love color and the effects of it in a subject. Don't be afraid to 'jazz up' your work, but make sure the colors you use are compatible, and 'get along' with their neighbors.
In this painting I used predominantly warm colors and all in the same family.

The grays provide that respite and peace one needs in such a vibrant painting.
