Barnyard Gathering..Watercolor..Texas Artist..Rae Andrews

This watercolor was done a long time ago and was a larger version of this.. out came the scissors today!  I was never pleased with  the top 1/3 of the painting.

 I decided to keep parts of it, for instance, the chickens I liked, the white paper also. The top part I trimmed off,  is now in the trash!

 I worked a little on it today to make colors come together better. Shadows were embellished and I added shrubbery on the right. I think it works well now.. Thank goodness for those scissors!


                        This painting is a watercolor on Arches paper.(unframed)
