Another pastel of the Iao stream, there is so much to paint in this valley, vistas and close focus subject matter, an artist could spend his/her whole life there and still not get enough in the way of subjects.Texas artist Rae Andrews, paintings in all media and genre. She is an Australian ex-pat who moved to Maui in the early 1990's where she owned two art galleries .. she now resides in Texas where she conducts workshops both in the USA, Australia and Europe.

Iao Stream

Rae, I always love the way you depict water. It's so fluid and colorful. You have a way of making water look so real, you can almost feel it.
Just beautiful, Rae - the colors seem to move as you look at the piece - I love it!
love the blues, greens and yellows in the water. they are balanced well with the warm browns on the rocks. lovely painting!
