I needed to address the lefthand background, and decided at the last minute to place another statue in there.
The floor was now addressed also, and the refections. As you will notice all those original strong colors in the floor are now subdues and more natural.
Texas artist Rae Andrews, paintings in all media and genre. She is an Australian ex-pat who moved to Maui in the early 1990's where she owned two art galleries .. she now resides in Texas where she conducts workshops both in the USA, Australia and Europe.

Very well done, Rae! I like this and past posts showing a connection between the figure and something in the painting! Reminds me of my hero, Mr. Rockwell.
Thanks everyone, this series is keeping me 'charge' and I am loving it. Some of the figures .more than others though. I have gotten so rusty with figuative paintings.
