Mykonos 3

This is another of the small marker sketches I did on the ship from my photos on my IPad.

Mykonos is a wonderful place for color and clarity of the light, the sky is such a deep blue, the buildings are so clean and white. Then the splashes of gorgeous flowers hanging from balconies, just a painter's paradise.

I prepared the small formats for my sketches with Canson paper glued with 3M spray to matboard or foamcore, the pieces all fit very easily into my suitcase and were very light...they  will take watercolor or these markers I used, even acrylics or gouache.

I think they are a great traveling solution for a plein air artist.
