Thicket

Thicket was the second demo I did on Saturday.

It began with no pre planning or drawing, I just tossed colors on the watercolor paper, and later worked into the shapes to make the subject appear.

A fun way to paint.

My objective was to show students, that a minimum of detail and LOTS of white paper can still give the viewer so much, and allow for their own imagination.

This is a watercolor on arches paper.
It is 22.5 x 30" unframed

So pretty - light and summery. Loved the demo.

Thanks for this. I'm so impressed. I hardly ever paint from imagination. Great idea and finish.
