This little oil painting on canvas began as a plein air painting. I was with the Austin Plein Air Group and we took off to paint parts of Lago Vista one hot morning. I recall the day got awfully hot, and I finished early as a result.Reminds me why I do not enjoy plein air painting that much especially our summer months here in Texas. Brutal !
Anyway, it was while I was cleaning out my canvasses today I found this almost finished one, and thought what the heck, and decided to finish it off for memory.
