Alaskan Stroll..Watercolor...Texas Artist...Rae Andrews

I am infatuated with pathways and trails. You might have noticed.

I was in Alaska a few years ago and the wild flowers were out, so pretty.

This stroll was right near the town I was in, had to paint it.

Shadow Dance ..Pastel..Texas Artist..Rae Andrews

Another unframed pastel close focus of eucalyptus leaves.

I am loving this process of overlaying an abstraction of colors over the subject. I do this in my app Sketch Club on my IPad.

It gets me out of the ‘color doldrums’ and can totally surprise the eye..

This one is a pastel on Sennelier La Cate sanded paper..
It measures 14.5” x 19.4” unframed.
$350 plus S/H

Prints of this image are also available through Fine Art America.

Thanks for visiting..

Tree Lined Path..Pastel..Texas Artist..Rae Andrews

Tree Lined Path was a quick demo I did a few years ago in pastel.
As I have been in my reconstructing mood for my older pieces I thought why waste this wonderful paper (Sennelier sanded paper).

So off I went. The image is completely made up.

You can see how the painting progressed from the very early 'raw' beginnings to a finished pastel painting.

This image is 11" x 19" unframed.
$300 plus S/H
