Two Steppin'

I love chickens, they are so comical and very proud, at least the roosters. Why would'nt they though, when you see those colors in their feathers, wonderful.

I went to Austin zoo to get these photos, made a composit from which to work.

I had a nice piece of rich burgandy suede matboard, and thought the oranges would look great on it.

What do you think?

Right on ! Very nice in deed. So suede works like velour ? Wow. Interesting.

I think, as always, that they are splendid. Also, I liked your picture better than your aunt's of the same place in Australia. You are so amazingly talented, Rae. And again, I am so very glad that you were able to do a picture of Jackson for me before he left us. It's a treasure.

I think Awesome! I keep thinking I'll paint chickens & roosters from photos I took in Jamestown & at the Austin zoo, but I haven't yet. Maybe I will soon.

Reallly like the use of color in "Two Stepp'in". The roosters seem to vibrate with life. Great job Rae!
