Another Journal Entry from Spain trip..Texas Artist.. Rae Andrews

Just finished this journal entry from the Costa Brava trip.

A few of us stayed in Barcelona after the workshop and then got tours of the various museums and artist houses. This area is Cadaques, and in the next bay is Dali's house which is now a museum. Amazing!

This journal entry is mostly watercolors, with a few of the watercolor markers as well.

Demo 2 from Costa Brava..Watercolor.. Texas Artist.. Rae Andrews

This was another demo I did on the trip to Spain. As I have already posted the full view of this scene as a journal entry a few days ago, you can now see how, as plein air artists, we can move things around to suit our mood.
I decided I wanted to make the scene more about the rugged coast, not all the foreground information.

Watercolor Workshop in Spain..Costa Brava and Barcelona  September 2016

I will be teaching this wonderful workshop in Spain, Costa Brava and Barcelona September 5th-12th 2016..

The Costa Brava area is very scenic and perfect for the artist in us. Lovely old buildings, charming alleyways and dwellings, floral, coastal areas, boats ..It has it all!

This tour price includes a seven day stay in hotel , tuition from yours truly, pick up from train station and drop off on departure, all breakfasts, 5 gourmet dinners including drinks, 1 lunch ( as we will be out running around painting), air conditioned van to take us to our chosen destinations with a guide, entry fees to all sites on tour including a wonderful Flamenco show,  no hassle and a chance to mix with like minded artists.

These painting tours are kept small, only 7 - 12 people . Everything is personalized for you.

The only thing you have to pay for is the airfare to and from Barcelona, some lunches and tips and of course your personal spending.

Your lessons will include plein air painting, some sketching and even some indoor studio painting if desired.

**Critiques will also be a daily part of this workshop. 

***Although I will be demonstrating in the watercolor medium, all media is welcome..
