I finished this one today, guess I am all about watercolors for a while again.😏

This doorway was somewhere in the village of Frayssinet while I was there last year.
Such an idyllic little village, full of reference for the artist.

Garden Pleasures..Pastel..Texas Artist..Rae Andrews

This scene might look familiar to you. I did a small watercolor of it a few days ago.

It is the garden at Le Vieux Couvent, the refurbished convent we will all be staying in on our upcoming France trip.

Visualize this, our evening vino right here, watching the sun go down. Ahhh, bliss!

This garden will be a wealth of artistic creativity I am sure.

This image is 12.5" x 19.5" unframed and is on Sennelier sanded paper.
$350 plus S/H

Prints of this image can be found at my Fine Art America site on this blog's opening page.

Bonjour..Pastel..Texas Artist..Rae Andrews

Just finished this one. I love painting small vignette's of a much larger scene.
Just that little bit more personal I think.

This is a pastel on an unknown sanded paper, not sure what it is. I had it in my stack of papers so though, oh well..

I did use a little alcohol wash underneath the pastel to get my values .

Then away I went with my gorgeous pastels, BONJOUR was born!

Hope you like..

This image is 9.25" x 14.5" unframed.
SOLD!
